Anstiss Sales and Marketing
(ASM) is a Food Broker and
member of the NZ Food and
Grocery Council.
Food Brokers act as the agent
for manufacturers or importers of
products which are to be sold by
supermarkets in New Zealand. At
ASM we perform this service for a
commission based fee in the range
of 5% to 12% of sales depending on what service we perform.
Our service can include full service from; helping with strategic planning, launching your new product, territory management, merchandising, managing contract warehousing, billing and merchandising the product onto the shelf of the local supermarket.
But we can also manage part of the process. Typically we look after; Head Office interactions (preparing paperwork, strategic planning, presenting to groups, following up decisions) and then implementing in the field (Territory Managers store calling, organising relays, arranging stock on shelf, in-store activity and managing merchandising). We will then work with our customer on an ongoing basis to grow sales and improve ranging status, warehousing and promotional activity.
Unlike some brokers we like to carefully select our customers based on how well we can service their needs, we have a flat management structure which allows direct interaction between our Principals and our team on the ground. We encourage and incentivise our staff to look for opportunities which may be of interest to our Principals.
